Ailu Abioye

A senior genetics scientist who works for the government. He modified Laffy's genetic structure, resulting in her inhibited growth. He did not account for the shortening of her lifespan caused by the instability of her modified genetic code, and only realized it much later.  

He's an Abioye who is unable to perform witchcraft past the level of a toddler, but makes up for it with his brilliance in biological science. He has raised his niece, Felyne, since she was 3 years old and cherishes her dearly. He took her in when his little sister (Felyne's mother) went missing on a mission. He probably sees his sister in Felyne, and to some extent, as a substitute and a way of dealing with his grief. He is very protective of her, and doting. 

When Felyne lamented to him about not being able to touch the cats that she adored so much, Ailu was able to learn that she was only allergic to matured cats, and not kittens. Laffy was his gift to Felyne. 

When dealing with anyone other than his family, Ailu is stern, hard and cold. He is known as the sharp-tongued, critical, snappy, short-tempered lion of the lab. Just an all around scary dude. However he is admired for his expertise and attention to detail. It is rumored that his superiors are afraid of him. That he's been offered promotions but have turned them down multiple times.

He has a crush on one of his lab asistants, Amarta. He thinks Amarta has good genes.
He likes snuggling/cuddling with anyone. He enjoys cuddle piles with Felyne and Laffy. He has a huge appetite for touch and is starving.
