Personality

Cassia is intelligent and has no qualms getting her hands literally dirty with  hard, honest work. She enjoys listening to people and learning, and is normally pretty mellow at her baseline. She doesn't like making waves, and loves spending time with people. When motivated, she can get a lot  done, but it sometimes takes her a while to get to that point, leading to many somewhat self-deprecating jokes about how she's always slow to  get started on things.

Backstory

Cassia had a long-standing interest in agriculture and farming that lead to  her pursing further education in the field of biology, with a heavy  interest in botany. She obtained her Bachelor's and her Master's degree,  but put her childhood dream aside to instead find a stable job working in private research labs to support herself and pay back her loans.  Within a year of finishing school and starting her career, her parents  died, leading to her staying in her job despite being unhappy with it, and just experiencing a period of deep depression. During this time, Daryl and Marlena kept active tabs on her, staying in contact often,  which was how she heard when her cousin Dawn went off on her own to try  her hand at farming. Hearing about Dawn's progress through them lead her to want to take up her childhood dream as well, and she made preparations to strike out as well, eventually moving to the same area a  year after Dawn.

Miscellaneous Information

• Cassia will eat almost anything (which includes Ford's cooking)
• Cassia trusts Dawn's judgement a lot on farming things, and will often go to her as well as Frank for advice
• Her favorite movie is Little Shop of Horrors
• Cassia likes Lemon Demon mashups don't @ me. she has definitely lay on her bed dissociating to Super Hey Ya
• cassiaford pocky day would be Cassia waggling the stick end of the pocky at Ford and him trying to ignore it until just going right in for a kiss and taking the majority of the pocky with him
• She and Ford would totally be the "date out to the theater" type but probably like once every couple years at best
• Cassia held a grudge against Dawn for beating her in a video game back when she was a teen and leverages Ford's miraculous natural gaming talent to hustle couple's game night
• I have a Google Doc of almost every Ford romance scene with aspects tweaked or rewritten (plus a few bonus scenes) specifically because I hate how infantilized and stupid Nanami acts in the romance and Cassia is better than that
• Cassia consciously hums while she does things a lot
• Showing affection, Cassia kisses and kisses often. kisses Ford as greetings and as goodbyes, as thank yous and I love yous and you're cutes and as I felt like its. his lips and his cheeks and his nose and really anywhere on Ford's face
• Cassia's a social drinker that learned her limits in college. The hard way. Late undergrad she was worse and switched to drinking less or avoiding alcohol for a bit during her postgrad work. she refuses to drink alone.
• Buzzed Cassia snort-laughs on occasion and touches things more as she talks, moves, etc.
