Background:
Agnieszka is the Eternal Empress of the Dyn-Sul Empire and assumed to be the founding mother of the Hive. Though she is often bemused by this speculation, she does little to deny it. The fact of the matter is that the Asmotheian species are complex and to explain the nuances of her birth and that of any other Hive Queen for that matter, would simply cause more confusion than it is worth. In the grand scheme of things she is the oldest of their kind and as such, she is regarded as the supreme authority on what it is to be Asmotheian. 

She believes in the supremacy of her species, deeming all others to be beneath her kind but not beyond the path to greatness. It is safe to say that while one cannot be born Asmotheian, one can be made to be Asmotheian and it is that which she seeks to promote. As the Hive Empress, she has spend several thousand years expanding her domain throughout the Andromeda system and with magic and ever advancing technology, she has ensured that countless worlds have become a part of the Hive. 

In the end all will hear the song of the Hive and they will embrace it. 

She is a figure who does not come without controversy though, and she has brought several of the worlds within her empire to heel by force. For those who do not see the benefits to becoming one of the Hive, they are educated accordingly and in the end, all will kneel. To be brought in to the Hive, to experience the benefits of its strength and community, is one that she regards as both a blessing and a mercy. 

Over the millennia she has quelled numerous uprisings and several coups from her own daughters, ultimately destroying her daughters in order to convert their elected Hives to expand her own. None are left behind to be without song, but she will not accept attempts to take what she has claimed through her own strength and power. Eventually one of her own daughters will find the means and strengths to overcome their mother's strength, but for now, Agnieszka remains the dominant 'Queen' of the Asmotheian hives.

...Even if she allows each of her daughters to run their own hive as they may see fit.

Provided their actions expand the influence of their kind and draw more into it, she will allow them to carve out their paths in a way they deem right. It is rare that this Empress intervenes, and if she does, it should be considered a grave sign indeed.
