Faolán

personality

 gentle / anxious / independent
Highly anxious and shy, Faolán finds it difficult to trust others and is quite passive, though he is usually very sweet unless pushed to a breaking point. A passionate and romantic individual who very much believes in doing his own thing--he is highly independent and has spent most of his life happily alone, travelling the world of his own accord. After traumatic events, however, he has taken to isolating himself and is prone to self-deprecating and depressive behavior. Once you melt his anxious exterior, he's incredibly affectionate, poetic, and wears his heart on his sleeve. Extremely introverted, he's not prone to making friends and tends to stick loyally to his partner, and yearns for a life of peace and quiet.

B orn as Taibhsídhe (pronounced tive-shee), the God of Wandering Spirits, Faolán is an ancient deity and, as such, has lived an incredibly long time. He has the ability to see "ghosts", or spirits, of those departed from life, which he nurtures and guides to the afterlife. Some may also consider him the Grim Reaper or the God of Death. He is depicted in many forms, from that of a snow white unicorn to that of the solitary snow leopoard; most commonly, however, Faolán is associated with lambs and the sensation of spring and the first thaw; he is also commonly known as the "spring lamb".

He exists as the patron god of Oshea, a small island nation where he is devoutly worshiped. While many cultures fear death and the concept of the grim reaper, those from Oshea, under Faolán's protection, find comfort in it.
