Peony

Born into old money, one of the youngest in line (so unlikely to inherit the family crown [and not caring about running said kingdom]), Peony now spends their wealth and status doing whatever they could possibly want, with all the spontaneity and recklessness of youth. Their family is well established enough that for the most part, they can get away with doing dumb shit... though after acquiring paramours, they aren't quite *as* willing to jump into the fire for the fun of it. Most of the time, you'll find Peony managing the financials of the Quali-tea Herbal Shop, because if there's one thing they've learned from their family, it's how to manage money. Or you'll find them engrossed in some cheesy romance film, complete with an in-depth essay written about it. One of the two. One of Matcha's and Benne's partners!

There's a certain type of person you become when you're born with a silver spoon in your mouth; arrogant, assertive, vain, selfish, an ego the size of the Atlantic Ocean, with a level of entitlement that would make your eyes blast to the back of your head from rolling them so hard. Fortunately, Peony isn't entitled!

If you were to say that Peony is not a people person, well, you'd be absolutely right. You have to be of a certain level for them to even deign to look in your direction, much less speak to you, and if you don't hit it, well, you might as well be a smudge of dirt on the bottom of a shoe. If they consider you such and somehow find the need to speak to you, prepare for an acerbic, sarcastic tone to drip from their every word. Hostile? A little bit, but it's a behavoir instilled into them from an early age; when everyone and their mother wants to take advantage of your status and wealth, it's a bit difficult to open up, especially before you know the goal of the person and their initially friendly conversation. Unhealthy to look at possible relationships as transactional, yes, but they're working on it, promise. Those that know Peony well enough find that they're pretty sweet (don't say that to their face, though) and intensely loyal, and super into dissecting cinematography. Also one to spoil those they love with their considerable wealth.
