Valtrene avoids confrontation, they keep their head down and listen to their superiors. But under Deward's terrible leadership they're beginning to crack, they’ve always hoped things will get better. But at this point it is likely that someday they may actually take matters into their own paws- even if their brain is telling them what an awful idea that is. They bow to the king but as they do so a scowl crosses their face, and they've been getting more and more careless with snide remarks and sarcasm so long as they don’t actually break any of the rules... tip toeing on the edge of the law. The penalty for disrespect towards the king is high, but could it really be worse than the life that they live working underneath his rule. The lowest of the low ranks, they couldn't be demoted to a further rank than they already are.

They don’t care terribly much of what others think of them. They’re easy enough to talk to so long as no one of high ranking is nearby- when in the presence of the king their thoughts can be going a million miles an hour but their jaws stay shut. They’re often snarky, so any potential friends are required to be alright with that and not easily offended.
