Pyra was born as the only child of Cressida and Dorian Argyros as the couple began to settle into New Orum. Cressida and Dorian each took active roles as parents for Pyra, raising her with utmost compassion, understanding, and patience as her magic abilities would emerge in early childhood. Throughout her childhood until adolescence, Pyra remained incredibly focused on her studies, having little time to nurture friendships. As Pyra's powers emerged, she discovered a passion for physical activity and competitive sports. Her closest relationships are with her parents, who are supportive of her passion for sports.
Pyra's closest relationships are with her mother and father, prioritizing her academics and career before forming friendships during her adolescent years. Pyra did not have many close friendships until high school, where she would meet Cinder Fovar. Pyra enjoyed hanging out together with the lioness, a welcome break from her studies. Pyra eventually lost contact with Cinder after the latter dropped out of high school. It wouldn't be until Cinder's breakthrough as a model that Pyra would know what happened to her former friend after suddenly dropping out of high school.
Pyra became independent upon moving to Kindleton at age 18 to pursue wrestling after being granted a partial scholarship in high school. Eager to one day test her strength in prestigious sporting events. To support herself, Pyra worked multiple jobs alongside participating in university training programs to improve her physical prowess. Pyra is a professional athlete, mainly specializing in wrestling and track and field, which she focused on primarily in university. Occasionally takes part in some competitions hosted in Kindleton, with mild successes.

The air itself shimmers and warps before Pyra's very eyes as what could only be described as a vision takes shape. Sand whips against Pyra's face. An overwhelming heat washes over them. Through the sand, a glint of scales can be seen. As quickly as it had come, the strange vision ends. Had it been the heat or something else..?”
