Blokka Caterwaul

Blokka is most noted for his loud, explosive personality. It matches with his natural gifts of being a master pyro-technician. His abilities are unmatched and are well sought after by travellers and groups as they are very practical for dungeons and adventuring. He's encountered one-to-many individuals, however, that used him and betrayed his overly trusting nature and genuine want to help others. It took a few lessons, but he eventually grew a more and more cocky persona of himself as means of being more assertive to who he'd allow to benefit from his abilities. He can be greedy, too, often claiming upfront that his services are highly expensive- which deters most travellers from recruiting him. But he's lost a lot of trust with others in the process and uses his explosive personality as a means to guard himself.

Pyro-Technician For Hire

As mentioned, he served as a pyro-technician for adventure groups going into dungeons and the like. His knowledge on explosives and fire magic abilities are well sought after. First going into the adventurer-for-hire business, he was met with rather unfair deals and broken promises. His first group he had travelled with up until the end of a dungeon before robbing him of all he had and refusing to pay. Another would cut his share of a treasure find to nothing but scraps. Even though again and again he was faced with being taken advantage of, he still tried putting trust in others- naively thinking that it would be better than the last. But he quickly grew out of that and exponentially expanded his already-explosive personality.

As Agnes and Rhode had begun their adventure, they had met Blokka. Taking a wrong turn, Blokka happened to notice the direction that they were headed and knew what could await them. He followed them discreetly just in case. As he expected, the two were in a bind with a hoard of monsters that Rhode struggled to defeat. Blokka steps in and helps them out, and eventually joins them as a guide to help them along. Seeing as he was kind enough to help them out, with him being strong and magically talented as a bonus, Agnes asks if he would join their team and he's just as reluctant to say yes, given his history with adventurers.

Blokka: “Because I’m a rare find; useful only for my fire and explosives?”

Agnes: “Of course that’s useful in a place like this… but you risked your life to help us. A friend like that is an even rarer find.”

Skills

He has a great deal of knowledge on the operation of explosives and fire. With just as good of a smattering on the analog, he can use them without depleting his magic-stores entirely. Not much on studying, he picked up all he knew through trial and error and a natural affinity with it.

His main goal for being a treasure-hunting-adventurer is to get rich and profit off of what he finds. As such, he is also well acquinted with finding hidden goods and can lock pick a fair amount.
