Story
→ Childhood and recruitment ← Scarlet is the only heir of a long, well-known family of tradicional Sensu dancers in Johto. Not wanting to follow in her mother's footsteps, she fled to Kanto so she wouldn't be found. Once there, and seeing herself unable to protect her persona from wild pokémon, she stole an starter-rejected charmander from profesor's Oak lab¹, which became her closest partner from then on. Since that point foward, she traveled across the land, battling for money and stealing food and other resources when necessary. Her cold and direct mindset caught the eye of a rocket grunt, which quickly informed their boss about, leading to Giovanni offering her a place in the team. After hearing about Giovanni's plans², she joined the team as the newest grunt and pledged him loyalty. → Pre-FRLG events ← In the spawn of two years (between said events and Red/Green/FireRed/LeafGreen's story) she managed to slowly climb positions until leading small teams during missions. → FRLG events ← When Cross appeared, and he managed to take down any operations on course, several of said operations' heads and admins were punished, including her. She lost all but three of her pokémon(Xarlie, Hielar and Ruby), and had to start from the bottom...if team rocket hadn't just been destroyed by a 10 year old kid. → pre-HGSS events ← During the next three years (leading to the ongoing story on Gold/Silver/HG/SS events), Scarlet's main objective was to not get caught by the police, and to survive. She went back to her roaming and stealing habits, and tried to stay in the shadows, which lead her to find and capture a meowth,an abandoned mute sableye and meet up with the former executives from the team. Not happy with their situation, they decided to reorginaze themselves as the Neo Team Rocket, and call their boss back to action. In little time, a fairly big group of affiliates congregated under the names of the 5 executives: Archer, the de facto leader, Arianna, his second-in-command, Petrel, master of disguise, Proton, head of operations and Scarlet, the information gatherer. Knowing of the possibility of Giovanni hidding somewhere on Johto, they made their way to the region with a clear determination to make their plan succeed.
→ HGSS events ← For most of the time, Scarlet stayed in the shadows, focused on finding any rumours or clues on their Boss' hideout. She will only eventually leave the HQ if called (slowpoke well) or during major operations (Radio Tower). After being found and defeated by her childhood friend Alice, and the Neo team Rocket being once again defeated (this time by a young trainer named Lily), she promised to leave the team once and for all.
→ Future arc ← Nowadays, she's still loyal to what she believed to be Giovanni's intentions and created an small organization of her own, being still active on the search of posible threathning organizations on other regions, guiding young promises to distort their plans and stop them, just as the young Cross and Lily once did to the team Rocket. Despite this, she's been keeping her promise and gathering all the information through non-violent, almost-always-legal ways. She is therefore constantly traveling between regions and usually unreachable, but makes sure to go back from time to time to visit her best friend and check on his adoptive newphews and niece, always happy to share the stories of her adventures and any information that might help Alice's research. She was the one to tell Alan about Hoenn and give him his starter treecko. At some point in time she met Charles while investigating Lyssandre's café. When Charles told her about wanting to leave the place, Scarlet offered a helping hand if he helped her with the investigation in return, and as time went by they ended up a couple. As of today, they are happily married and have a 10-year old daughter in common: Violett. XY During XY events, Scarlet divided her time between her job and her daughter, and appears only to attend the twins birthday with Violett and Xarlie. ORAS During Alan's trip to Hoenn, Scarlet kept investigating about the teams, sending clues to his nephew and talking the rival team's leaderand ex-boyfriend³ Maxie into stopping Archie's doing before it were too late. Sun&Moon Ya-hoo, vacation time! Events to be added ¹- Personal headcanon of mine: all profesors are collaborating in the STARTER PROJECT, in which extremely endangered pokémon from the fire, water and grass types are being bred in captivity and given to young trainers to ensure the species do not go extint. This is why you can't find starters in the wild. For more information about why the charmander was rejected, see the linked profile. ²-In this universe, Giovanni's main plan is to gather information about other evil teams that could bring great danger to the world and stop them. To achieve this, he needs capital to support PROJECT MEW2, as well as mediums to ensure that they can control the pokémon. It is known about the existence of other smaller side-projects, regarding pokémon evolution but the details are unknown. Due to the importance of this project, he won't hesitate resorting to violence, torture, plunder, kidnaping and other methods of similar nature to ensure the results. Scarlet is completely okay with it and shares this point of view, and for such Giovanni's become someone she proudly calls boss and looks up for. Whether this is true or just appealed to Scarlet's sense of justice to recruit her it's unknown. ²-Hardenshipping is canon here.Yup.Fuck haters.
