Over confident and proud to a fault, Bobo (who far prefers the alias Star Lord) is a galactic explorer and bounty hunter.  Since he lacks opposable thumbs, he uses a droid he's programmed to follow only his commands to pilot his ship.  For the most part he tracks down wanted criminals for their bounty; he'll also explore planets for treasure, however.

As you might have gathered from all this, Star Lord is rather conceited.  He believes himself to be the best, often acting condescending to others or dismissing their skills in favour of his own.  He's not easy to work with since he's too stubborn to listen to other points of view.  Despite all this, he's a very hard working alien mutt who's earned the respect of many in the galactic bounty hunter community.  Just don't expect them to be singing these praises to his face.
