Pepper’s pale and sickly. There’s a moroseness about her, like there’s a heavy weight on her shoulders, but beneath that is something steady as a rock. Whatever that weight is, she’s used to it now, and steadily marches on. Her red hair tends to fall in waves and curls around her shoulders and down her back. She flashes smiles a lot, keeps her posture open so she’s always attentive. Her outfits are generally overtly sexual – very low cut tops that show off so much boob one expects a nip-slip or two a night, and heavily short skirts. She always carries a cane under one arm – and it’s a fancy looking thing, black, classy silver, and too tall for her.
Pepper is generally friendly and warm to anyone who she meets, but after you get to know her the teeniest bit she has a tendency to drop bombs on conversations, along the lines of “oh yeah my daughter was murdered in front of me.” She’s got a steady resolve that makes her incredibly stubborn; if she thinks she’s in the right, she has a tendency to really dig her heels in. A few topics can make her light up lately – primarily in regards to fencing, her dog, or Bastian Thoreaux.
Those who pay particular attention to the newspaper likely know Pepper. In 2017 there was a brutal slaying of a family in late March and early April. Some members of the mob broke into the Ford family house, shot and killed a policeman – Paul Ford – and his five year old daughter Katie while his wife was in critical condition. A few months later a second shock came as Paul Ford was revealed to be still alive. His wife – Pepper – was interviewed a few times. That said, Pepper and Paul seem to have grown distant over the stress of losing their daughter and the months of being apart.
