Summary

Created by Eris, a goddess of discord and strife, Hisato is a personification of discord if you can call it that. Upon his creation he was embodied with a power to create thin slits in time which he could expand and contract to allow a variation of time travel between the past and the future. These slits allow him to 'warp'. In order for his body to adapt to such a large quantity of power which broke up the very molecules of his being, he was created within the realm of his warps. A place unaffected by the outside of space and time, a dimension if you will but given the lack of anything, Hisato believes its far too polite to even call it a dimension. It isnt a pleasant place. Time there flows dramatically 'faster' compared to the outside world but any injuries sustained by Histo heal at an ordinary rate. This means what feels like 8 years of recovering could've been 8 weeks in the normal world.

For every change or variation produced in a timeline, the thread splits the same as a hair would, creating a brand new timeline. Hisato's warp ability only allows for him to move between the void and normality, or move between moments of time in a single timeline. In order to jump between timelines, Hisato manipulates static threads (which can take the form of solid strands or a more 'gas' based substance) to create bonds between related timelines. They also go by the name of currents. If you think of timelines as train tracks, his static bypass (a momentary jolt where he disperses through the strands he's created) allows him to change track, whilst his warps act as the train. He is able to enter the realm of his warp and create currents between diffetent timelines from there, but he prefers to be in the timeline to directly witness what he's dealing with. He uses these purple and blue strands to repair fractures in time, either caused by colliding timelines, rifts created by other time travellers, or simple mistakes or accidents that occur naturally.

Hisato does often abuse this power to cause trouble. Be it scaring someone to killing someone over and over, it really does just depend on his mood. Due to the span of time between his creation and the time he first ventured outside of his realm, Eris' control and effect over Hisato greatly dampened. He has an awareness and a yearn to cause pain to others, thus leading him to be distant and developing a strong dislike to attachments and relationships, but the effects have dulled enough that he has some restraint. Hisato has an avid morale code which resolves around the timelines. He never intentionally puts a timeline at risk of fracturing, nor does he create splits where one hasnt occured naturally. He seals rifts that were never meant to exist and repairs mistakes left by the footsteps of others. Hisato isn't senseless. He'll put himself at risk without a second thought but he's cautious when the impacts stretch furtherout. Thankfully as his powers can reach a wide range, able to repair timelines even when hes two or three jumps away, Hisato has never encountered an issue he can't fix. This can make him rather overconfident and awfully stubborn, but to an extent he has the right to be.

With a hatred for being tied down, Hisato generally doesn't hang about. He'll stick around for what he wants to do and leave without a second thought. He views people as moments rather than living breathing creatures. Maybe someone is fun for the minute they gamble together but as soon as that's over, Hisato wont pay them another glance for the rest of that creature's days. He isn't overly cruel nor rude at that, he can be foul mouthed and happy to flirt with all sorts of people at any one time, but he isnt heartless. Having seen all kinds of lives decay into nothing, only to meet them the next day after a quick hop, at times Hisato can struggle to keep up with things. To make the strain on his mental health easier, he simply keeps everyone at arms length. He'll kill as he pleases, he'll save someone's life the next day and do it all over again. A frustrating loop of endless possibilities he manages to cope with by being just enough of a bastard to get it all done.
