It's been a long time since [̡̲̝R͍̜̥E̷ͥḎ̹̜͖Â̺̥͖C̮̖͕T̠̬͎Ẹ͈̜̙D̸̲̪]͒͐̃ was anything approaching a normal troll. In fact, they barely remember their life before leaving Alternia - a young and promising heir, who had favourable odds to at least put up a good show against the Empress.
However, on the eve of their exile, when the threat of the Empress' visit loomed, they disappeared entirely. Though a great search was put up for the heir, and the fleet was scoured, hide nor hair was ever seen of them again.
Which was not entirely fortunate for [̡̲̝R͍̜̥E̷ͥḎ̹̜͖Â̺̥͖C̮̖͕T̠̬͎Ẹ͈̜̙D̸̲̪]͒͐̃. Escaping their duel of succession, they had stowed away on a fleet ship, but found themself sealed away with the cargo - cargo that wouldn't be needed or accessed till the ship docked on a new colony. Sweeps later.
Scared, trapped, and isolated for perigree after perigree, [̡̲̝R͍̜̥E̷ͥḎ̹̜͖Â̺̥͖C̮̖͕T̠̬͎Ẹ͈̜̙D̸̲̪]͒͐̃ grew steadily more deranged, and by the time they'd found their way into the ship's system of vents, the crew aboard seemed less like fellow trolls and more like a source of amusement.
The prodigious hunting skills that had made them such a contender on Alternia let them pick off crewmates one by one, and they quickly refined their techniques - lowbloods were far easier to catch, and less likely to be missed. However, of course, their presence was always going to be noticed, and as suspicion mounted, they seized the opportunity to jump ship as soon as it docked with a larger vessel. Since then, they've hopped from ship to ship.
It's been a long time. They're here now.
Though the more observant may notice sounds in the vents, they can move nearly silently when they want to, and are only likely to be seen on two occasions: 1. They're about to kill you. 2. They need to use the bathroom, and you were unfortunate enough to be there at the time. If you survive? Nobody will ever believe you.
