{ About }

Cicero is rather proud. Not in a "I'm-better-than-everyone" way, but in the way that someone is proud of what they've done. He takes pride in his prarie and restoring it to it's former glory. Cicero has yet to recover any memories of his past life but he refuses to focus on it, instead choosing to focus on the present. His goal is to help heal his biome and keep everything in balance. <

{ Backstory }

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Contrary to popular belief, Lorem Ipsum is not simply random text. It has roots in a piece of classical Latin literature from 45 BC, making it over 2000 years old. Richard McClintock, a Latin professor at Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia, looked up one of the more obscure Latin words, consectetur, from a Lorem Ipsum passage, and going through the cites of the word in classical literature, discovered the undoubtable source. Lorem Ipsum comes from sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 of "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (The Extremes of Good and Evil) by Cicero, written in 45 BC. This book is a treatise on the theory of ethics, very popular during the Renaissance. The first line of Lorem Ipsum, "Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet..", comes from a line in section 1.10.32.

The standard chunk of Lorem Ipsum used since the 1500s is reproduced below for those interested. Sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33 from "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" by Cicero are also reproduced in their exact original form, accompanied by English versions from the 1914 translation by H. Rackham.

{ Origin }

Once a hoary bat living in the Great Plains, Cicero was flying out at night searching for a meal when he spotted smoke rising over the prairie. A fire had broken out, ravaging his beloved home and sending the animals he's come to known fleeing. A sense of panic and determination rose in him: he will not let his friends be hurt. He flew den to den, tree to tree, alerting those of the incoming flames. After hours of racing between homes he grew exhausted. Every muscle in his tiny body ached and screamed for rest. The flames were catching up to him and he knew he didn't have much longer until his inevitable demise. Tired and far from home, he gave up. It was at that moment that a shape appeared. A glowing blue horn adorned its head and a mane of grass and fur flowed down its back. Lightning could be seen darting through the plants.
In a flash of light Cicero was no longer in the air. Exhaustion and pain was replaced with endless energy. Wings turned to paws and grass could be felt underfoot yet he remained at the same space in the sky. A glance in confusion showed he was a large, hulking beast. This did not scare him; instead he was flooded with a feeling of peace.
