Spectra

A lovely ghostly lady, redesigned by my good friend Shelbopoly!!

Spectra is an Ectomancer, similarly to Cain, though their innate abilities work quite differently from one another.

Spectra also works with soul energy- In the same way one would recite a spell to perform magic, she has the natural ability to influence one's soul with only her voice. "The power of suggestion", as she would phrase it, the sound of her voice works like a constantly spoken spell, resonating with any nearby living creature's soul. The words she says and tone she uses will influence the way the person feels; For example, if she praises someone with a simple "Good job" in a positive voice, they may get this feeling of true pride and joy deep inside, though they may not be entirely sure why they feel that way.

She can only strongly influence one's feelings, though, as the brain operates differently from the soul. The louder and/or more intense she speaks, the stronger the internal influence will feel. Even simple, non-verbal sounds such as laughter, crying, sighing, etc. will leave a mild emotional sensation deep within. For these reasons, she rarely speaks, and often uses body language and her environment to communicate.

Very quiet and considerate of others, she holds a 'neutral/good' stance on most things- Only wanting to do what she believes is the right thing... Sometimes by herself, and sometimes when thinking only of others. She's had far more mishaps with her ability earlier on than she'd ever admit to, so she's very conscious about the words she does speak and has a generally strong sense of responsibility towards others. If she grows close to someone, she can become very 'motherly' towards them, doing what she can to make sure they stay healthy, safe, and grow into a proper person- (Not always being 'good' and not always being 'bad' either. Balance is important in life.)

Consisting mostly of ectoplasm fashioned with a semi-physical body herself, she has the ability to float, pass through objects/people, be selectively invisible, and a strong ability in telekinesis as well. Her orgins are uncertain to anyone but herself- It's something she just will not talk about for whatever reason, and will actually get upset if you try hard enough to figure it out on your own. When she is certain she's alone, she likes to sing where no one will hear her. She also enjoys other avenues of self-expression such as painting, song-writing, reading, and also has a habit of cleaning for those she likes, and moving things around to troublesome places for those she doesn't (or just wanting to mess with a friend on occasion).
