Alida

Princess of Yudora. Alida grew up as the next to youngest in a batch of many brothers. Her country is home to many wild horses, and the people have taken to a life of taming, training, and breeding them. Alida is very attached to her steed, Edelweiss, and spends much of her free time talking to him as she grooms him. While Alida was close to her brothers, she was never really able to form much of a relationship with her ever dutiful father. Her mother died when she was still very young due to complications after her younger brother's birth, so Alida never had much in the ways of a female role model either. Though she's comfortable and open with animals, Alida finds the situation uncomfortable when she is offered to the Emperor. Growing up around only her brothers, she's not sure how to approach with the intention of courtship, and instead takes a casual -- albeit, self-conscious -- approach. As the Emperor seems to enjoy her company, Alida becomes quickly attached to him, though this only serves to make her more awkward and nervous in her approach.
