Lionel had to work his ass off to get to where he is, originally growing up with ten siblings on a shithole farm in Italy. He was one of the youngest. When he turned seventeen he kidnapped both of his sisters and left to America where he prostituted them both out for money. Simultaneously he started getting into the drug and organ trafficking trades, doing a lot of the heavy lifting himself while his sisters were 'working'. He has back and knee problems as a result of hauling heavy loads, as alongside his illegal businesses he also worked labor jobs. As soon as he had a good business going, he let his sisters retire and set them both up with rich husbands who take damn good care of them, though understandably they are mortified of Lionel still.

He has a ton of scars under his dress shirt, and one along his chin he got from Kyle Draki when Kyle was a teenager, as a result, Lionel is actually mortified of Kyle.*

His philosophy is that people born poor are 'low born' and must work hard to garner any respect or class, and that they will never be high born. The lowest of that class are acceptable to be bought and sold, though he never discriminates when it comes to filling a client's request. If you are any kind of low born, you are fair game. Lionel considers himself low born, but his sons and daughters who were born into prosperity are high born, better than the common laborers like he had to be to give them that life. Your social standing can't change, but you can change what social standing your children will have is his mentality: "People are either the Buyer or the bought, the seller or the sold."

Lionel has five wives, all of whom live with him in his manor, and all of whom he genuinely adores. He dotes over all of them, and has never laid a hand on them they didn't want. He claims he doesn't have favorites, but they all know he kinda' does in Josefina... none of them mind though, they'd rather he smother her in love and they get a moderate amount than all of them be absolutely drowned in affection. It works out.

He has six sons and two daughters as of 1958, Four with Josefina, two with Marika, and two with Lilibet.
Josefina's boys are Regis, Arcanus, Caelius, and Corvus. 20, 17, 15, and 11 respectively.
Marika has twin sons Azazel and Zorro. Both are 17.
Lilibet has two daughters, Sapphire and Ruby, who are 19 and 7 respectively.

He and his sons all lack lower pairs of ribs, all of them have high metabolisms, and all of them are incredibly flexible.
Lionel tends to be on the chilly side to the touch, and he can tell a person's kinks just by looking at them, the latter of which seems to have been inherited by Regis, Arcanus, Caelius, Azazel and Sapphire. Regis, Arcanus, Caelius, Zorro, Corvus, and Ruby can all read peoples emotions just as easily as some of them can read kinks.

He also has an unknown amount of illegitimate children as he's always been a whore, and sometimes clients will request that in the process of breaking a woman he also get them pregnant so they can raise the child, usually this is only the case when one or both of the buying couple can't have children.
