Vannivar Fane

Vannivar is the records keeper at the library and bookstore run by Jeph Balek. He keeps track of sales, shipments, storage, and catalogues the literature. His shrewd demeanor often intimidates strangers, cutsomers, and friends alike, but once you learn to see through the wall he puts up this is much less of an issue. It's bizarre to see a man who is so full of himself hold so much distain for himself at the same time.

Vannivar and Jeph have known eachother for the past decade and a half, and when Jeph offered Van the job, he took it happily as his health would not allow for much physical labor at the time. The subtle romance between them is slow developing but there nonetheless. Vannivar is too proud to admit it, but being around Jeph puts him at ease and he is one of the few peers he respects. His other coworkers, particularly the clerk, Alessa, he could really do without.

Vannivar has shoulder length white hair and pale purple-grey skin. His horns are asymmetrical and he walks with his tail wrapped around his left leg and a slight limp. Suffering from chronic pain for half his life, he's usually pretty tense, and he wears a back stabilizer on days where he will be doing a lot of walking and physical activity.
