Riptide

Riptide is a mysterious feline who was found following Cinders and Frostbite for reasons they can't remember. At the beginning of the story, they aren't even aware of their status as an angel assassin or a fallen angel. They are calm, gentle, and have difficulties picking up on social cues. After determining that Riptide is not a threat, Cinders and Frostbite invite them to join their journey to help the angel get their memories back and to use them as protection from angels and demons. When Pierce joins the group, Riptide attaches themself to him, sensing some type of powerful enchantment from him. The more time that passes, Riptide’s magic gets more unstable and the group has to find a way to get the angel back to where they came from. Riptide is most attached to bodies of water, such as lakes, rivers, and beaches, and will sit by them anytime they come across one.
