Character

Devvon wanted fame from an early age, but he also didn't want to have to do anything to get there. Being a violetblood was already a pretty good start, but how could he launch himself into superstardom without putting in any actual work? The answer came to him like most on Alternia; literally smacking him in the face via advertisement as he was walking elsewhere and thinking about other things. Modelling seemed like a grand idea; standing around looking pretty while making sensual faces and movements toward the camera? Sounded like a riot of a time. So off Devvon went to audition for his first, shoot, not really knowing what to expect, but very excited for his potential future career nonetheless.

It turned out that modelling was pretty much exactly like how it was in Devvon's head. He got to the audition and saw what the other applicants were doing, and quite frankly found himself confused. Didn't they see how awkward they looked? Why were they posing like that when given no direction to do so and when it looks so goddamn awful? With a snarky eye-roll and a charming smile, Devvon showed everyone in the room how it was done and got the job two days later. The kid was a natural, and everyone in the fashion world was better for it; despite being startlingly new, Devvon had an eye for composition and lighting, and no one could deny that his appearances were certainly helping sales numbers anytime he appeared in a skimpy outfit. So he propelled himself into the spotlight, and Devvon's been famous ever since, just like he knew he'd be.

Abilities

DANGER PAINT: Though generally being a violetblood tends to be a good enough deterrent for most trouble on Alternia, Devvon likes to go the extra mile now that he's deluded himself that he's a big deal. He covers himself in spikes in order to give off a more menacing appearance- Devvon even likes to joke that he dresses with spikes so he'll do extra piercing damage if he ever needs to kick anyone in the face-, and constantly curses everyone else out to ward off those who can't handle his sailor's tongue. After passing through all his filters, Devvon finally finds himself with people he can deem 'safe' that are also likely to understand his brand of humor and be unoffended by his out-of-pocket thoughts.

CAMERA READY: Devvon is always ready to pose the house down boots in front of a camera, whenever, whatever, and wherever is necessary. There is no set too gritty, no shot too difficult for Devvon to attempt (or at the very least, get yelled at for trying). His trademark stubbornness and uncompromising artistic vision has earned him multiple awards and accolades for various shoots, but Devvon doesn't seem to really care about any of them, and always shows right back up to work, entirely unfazed and ready to get back to normal after every awards show. The man's a professional in love with his craft, what more can he say?

Notes

• Devvon's actually really conflicted about fishnets becoming an integral part of his brand, because it means he can't wear sequins since they'll get stuck on the fishnet constantly.
• His boots not-so-subtly add three inches to his height, so he's only just slightly shorter than all the other violets.
• Devvon's self-admitted biggest downfall is being surrounded by beautiful folks all the time. He just can't keep his hands off (with consent, of course)!
• Despite being on the cooler end of the hemospectrum and the sheer amount of fishnets he's wearing, Devvon is never actually cold.
• Devvon's got well over 20 piercings, and he's very proud to say that they've all been done by the same guy. Customer loyalty!

Koqici Ferhia [ Good-For-Nothing Gambler ]

Devvon and Koqici have been relentlessly going back-and-forth in their neverending game of 'spite' for sweeps at this point. They insist that they despise each other, but anyone who spends more than 5 seconds critically thinking can tell that they're closer than they let on.

Devvon is absolutely thrilled to have the opportunity to regularly be on an heiress' call list. When he got the news, he spend the rest of the day parading around the city like he was some hot shit. He thinks that's pretty awesome- just like Kotriz's amazing works!
