has a white mask-like plate that acts as a face. plate has features on it that are flat and give the appearance that they've been drawn or painted on, but they can move as if they're animated. features are more or less cohesive depending on their mood; intensity of the emotion affects shape and 'line' quality, while the type of emotion affects colors (bright colors=very positive, monochrome=very negative, many variations exist between these extremes)
