Randy is an individual trying to raise the spirits of his crew, while also trying to advise them on what tactics to take when out on the lake, as he's seen firsthand how brutal the creatures his crew hunt really are, and how easily they can tear apart an underprepared crew. However, he's hardly the type to actively interfere in a hunting attempt, preferring to make sure at the very least if a hunting trip goes bad they don't sink or drown, making him ironically enough a very good captain as he knows when's a good time to duck out or if they have a chance with a seafaring beast.

Origin:

Born in Britain to a long line of sailors, he and his parents moved to the US when he was 5. Randy was fascinated by the sailors and hunters, and was even more amazed by the bounty they brought back: most requiring a crane to lift and load onto a truck. Many years later, he become a sailor, applying his skills to hunting the rough creatures that lived in the Erie waters. One thing he ended up learning very quickly was how risky the whole business was, and more often than not the crew had to settle with the smaller serpents they caught rather than the big game.

However, even the smaller game proved risky...almost even fatal. One fishing trip was turning up only small serpents, and the crew decided to turn back. However, it seemed that the father of those serpents found out about the ship and crew's actions, and in revenge attacked the ship. Realizing what was happening, Randy tried to calm the beast by finding its child and showing it the father. But it was too little too late: The ship was destroyed, and most of the crew was killed. While Randy ended up surviving in the end, he lost his eye, nearly drowned and his coat got tore up. Though those at the hospital never noticed he lost his eye, as at some point the serpent he saved granted him with a replacement eye (granted, one of a serpent, but something is better than nothing).

He still hunts serpents, but he's pretty much reserved his hunting to only the big game, as his experiences told him that perhaps it was best to leave the small serpent children alone, less you want a giant enraged serpent on you...

Abilities:

Thanks to the serpent's eye (a thing he usually hides under his eyepatch due to the stigma in Toledo regarding those who look human minus one or two traits), he can hold his breath and swim underwater for a long period. While he hasn't tested how long this lasts, he speculates he can be under for almost 24 hours based on how long he was out between hitting the water and waking up once again.

Other:

-Eye can see better underwater, but sucks in seeing above water for very long.

-When he's not out by the pier, he's normally performing at the local bar.

-On that note, his favorite genres of music are Polka and Sea Shanties
