Cem Cinst (Chyehm Chinst) is a female Khan of a powerful clan. She is Arlantui's (a rival) best enemy and Siruci's best friend. Though known for being short and small, Cem is equally renowned for her sharp words and sense of justice. However, her sharp tongue is also her weakness, with which she has spearheaded many unnecessary quarrels. She is also known for her habit of exaggerating her facial expressions. Cem was one of the main propagates of the Great Clan Conflict, in which she, along with other Khans, sought to unite the numerous Sighthound clans under one banner and to expel the powerful and wicked shamans from their positions. Cem is also religious, believing in the true High Spirit Enduri. She once upheld celibacy, but later married Arlantui (her former enemy and arch-rival). She takes matters very, very seriously, but is not afraid to stick out her tongue during formal meetings when she does not agree with the speaker. |
