The God of Life, Creation, and Mercy. A being born at the beginning of time, sundered by Their shadow and forming the Divine Fragments as a result. The soul core, the only one that never formed a fragment, remains physically inert in the Realm of the Gods.
While no one has heard the voice of this being directly, not even the Divine Fragments, its presence is felt through the Pantheon as the force granting the Six their tremendous amount of Semblance, and allowing the Six to commune with one another with beyond-instantaneous telepathy. They await the day that their own cores are strong enough to maintain their Semblance without its assistance, and allow The First to be reborn.
Before the Sundering, The First was a compassionate, inquisitive creature that was seemingly incapable of bearing ill will, mostly because They lacked the experience to understand the motive to harm others like their shadow did. They spent a lot of time contemplating Their existence and what brought Them into being, if not something even grander than Them, but suspects They are what some mortals would call "a living galaxy"
