Akira Hanada

Wearing mostly brown, being a clockmaker, and being very tall, Akira is often nicknames the 'grandfather clock'. His glasses have a special prescription that only his optometrist can fix if he breaks them.

Akira is kind, soft-spoken, and a bit of a coward. His formal dress code might give that away. He often finds himself sobbing in a corner, saying he doesn't deserve this, but it isn't really for any real reason. He has a very steady hand, and the only loud noise he seems to enjoy is the haunting bongs of a grandfather clock. He doesn't really get why everyone else finds them scary...

Akira was a fairly simple kid. He kept his showers ice cold, used eco-friendly lightbulbs, rode his bicycle to work when the gasoline price rose... That is, until his parents died in a car crash. He was devastated, as none of his family wanted to take him in thanks to them being very poor themselves, but a kindly old clockmaker offered to take him in. He studied under the man for many years, and became a fantastic clockmaker thanks to it.

A clockmaker who specializes in antique and vintage clocks, like grandfather and cuckoo clocks. He also does custom watches and alarm clocks. He was sought out by Hope's Peak after he helped fix a strange quirk in Big Ben during an overseas trip.
