Megami lurks around the area, eagerly awaiting humans who bring offers of gold, fish, and flowers in exchange for some of her treasure.

Once an ordinary snake living on the edge of a small rural village, she fell victim to human violence and greed when she accidentally ingested the villager's most prized possession; the fabled Philosopher's Stone. The humans, desperate to reclaim their stone, launched a crusade against the small serpent, eventually leading to her capture and immediate murder as they slashed the serpent's stomach open in order to retrieve their relic.
Unfortunately, no trace of the Philosopher's Stone remained. In a fit of rage, they threw her body into a bonfire hoping the divine flame would clense the beast of it's evil misdeed. Empowered by the effects of the stone she had accidentally eaten, however, a golden flame erupted from the ashes, and the godess now known as Megami burst through. Outraged at her treatment at the hands of the humans, she began to slaughter the villagers with teeth and fire until all who were responsible lay dead at her feet.
Those who lived through the night grew to fear the serpent. A shrine was built over the remains of the bonfire and a statue soon followed. For many generations, they would bring small gifts and tokens to appease the dragon and earn her favor. Now, one thousand year's after that night, Megami is a common name in the villages of the area, known as the godess of eternal life and riches.
