Adair is a blunt, levelheaded lion who prefers to keep to himself. He doesn't really enjoy company and finds the solace of his own thoughts and observing others to be more fulfilling than participating. He tends to hang back from the pride and focus on watching what's going on. He does care for his pride and family, especially his brother Birk, and as such quickly took to the life of an enforcer and guardian of his pride's territory, being very willing to fight to defend it. Even if he's a bit socially estranged, he isn't coldhearted. His affections are quiet- but present. For those who respect his privacy and preference for isolation, but still offer him quiet company, he is extremely grateful in his own ways.
He is very levelheaded, and his astute attention to detail makes him a reliable resource when it comes to investigating events or getting an outside opinion. He rarely forges powerful bias beyond facts, which makes him unlikely to omit details or take sides. As such, he's a good lion for the job of maintaining the peace, and it's a job he accepts with humility.
He isn't exactly bright in a book sense like some of his pridemates, but he is very intuitive in his own ways.
- He learned how to fight through observing others, and specializes in battles in observing and learning from his enemies to overpower them. Meaning he may not be a threat rightaway...but the longer you fight him, the more dangerous he'll become.
- He's a loner who isn't really interested in forging relationships.
Growing up coddled by his mother, Adair quickly showed his personality in being highly averse to affection. He pushed her away, and instead became close to his brother, Birk, who understood him far better than his parents. He takes after his father, Rithback, who also prefers to avoid company, and as such he is close to his father since he understands him more than his mother does.
He doesn't dislike his mother, but finds her frustrating to be around for long measures of time.
He learned much of his fighting skill from his father and watching him train with the other pride members, and it wasn't long before he found his role as an enforcer and guardian.

Adair and his brother are close, as Birk understands him and his 'odd' mannerisms and isolation well. Birk never asks more of him than he's comfortable with, and for that he's grateful.
Adair is most like his father, and as such they work together very well. They can keep each other company for extended periods of time without a word and be content. They don't have prolonged conversations, but care for one another in their own way.
Adair cares for his mother, but because she is very sickly and struggles with her health, she often fusses over him too much for his comfort. She tries to coddle and console him and push him into friendships or conversations he doesn't want to have. She means well, and Adair knows this, but he wishes she'd take the hint and leave him be.
