Decades of genetic engineering beneath the cover of weapons technology, coupled delicately with the best of ocean biologists specializing in "chondrichthyes" behaviours -- these would be the things to give herald to the ultimate "soldiers wife" without the dress up of unnecessary baggage. Thoroughbred trainers, dedicated to nothing but their companions, saving the pricey project from going beneath the waves and providing powerful routines for their future handlers and sharklings. Domesticating a sizable predator would be for the skilled and determined, bonding closely with the stalker taking years and often preferring to rise both child and sharkling as one pair to ensure the strongest of bonds to be formed.
