Feb 14, 21. Worm King isn't really a 'king', but he's a pretty good leader and has a lot of respect, so people just call him that. The 'worm' part comes from his species being made majorly of strange black tubing, which slithers around when not channeled through special bangles. His species lives in a sort of destroyed junk world where they pick around at the ruins, trying to survive. At the same time, other species keep coming in from other planets and trying to wipe them out. Thankfully, they can be destroyed temporarily, but the weird tubing will probably pull itself back together eventually (usually for everybody destroyed in an area, causing a wave effect)
Worm wasn't the main dream character, rather encountered later on. MC had gotten away from a separate group of this species who had a vicious arena. Thusly, when they saw more of these things (despite being one themselves), they were pretty freaked out. Worm King is very friendly and kind though! Sure, he's got a scary-looking procession with him, but he offers shelter in a horrible garbage world where everything wants one dead : )
PS, there's a second arena run by a third group of these guys, but it's apparently less 'grr, fight to the death'. It was implied you could win an egg by winning in the arena, but they never specified what you had to do to win...? They initially appeared just as hostile as the first group, but were actually pretty chill. They are on good terms with Worm King, so he visits sometimes (PS the prize eggs came pre-named. The first two had two-part names I can't remember, but the last one was named Cthulhu??)
Species always has grey fur and black noodle tubes!
