Backstory

Alice was a little girl when a demon attacked her village. It was destroying everything. It said that if the village sacrificed a child, it would leave. Alice was chosen as the sacrifice. She lived with her parents and her siblings, and was the youngest of 5 brothers. She was not needed. Her parents gave her up without hesitation, and that had hardened her heart. The demon needed a body and went into Alice. However, now inside Alice, she kept the demon from leaving and using her own force, she sealed it inside. However the possesion had some effects on Alice, and she was able to turn into a cat. She also grew cat ears and a tail. She was shunned from the community. She could access the demon's powers, and was very powerful. She lived alone. She met an orphan girl and they became very close friends. One day, a strange man came and gave her an emerald necklace. He said that it was her duty to keep the demons in their cages. He had noticed that she had sealed one of the strongest demons into herself without dying. She reluctantly excepted her duties. She trained and grew stronger, and by age 16 she had slayed countless of demons. She lived happily with her friend, until on one job, her friend dedcided to come with her. The demon took over her friend's body and began to wreak havoc on nearby villages. With no other option, Alice was forced to murder her one and only friend. After that, she stopped aging, and kindness became a foreign word. She lived in solitude, ignoring the rest of the world. She was cursed to live forever, without love or joy. She killed demons without mercy. Her friend had drawn on her hands the day before she was possessed, and so Alice wanted to keep the memories of her friend alive. She kept her hands under her sleeves so that wind and water would not destroy the only thing left of her friend. She only ever revealed her hands to make the killing blow, and when she did, you could see the drawings made hundreds of years ago, still present. She killed demons mercilessly without a second thought.
