born as a designer kitty, he was sold nearly immediately after birth to a high class family in the city. he lived in a penthouse apartment with only his owners who absolutely pampered the life out of him, treating him as if he were human himself. even though it was the life every cat could dream of driftwood would most likely say he found it boring- that is, until the apartment caught on fire and he was forced to flee. with his fur now scorched from the flames and his owners gone he was left to fend for himself on the streets. something he learned quickly was that if he was going to survive he would have to learn to use his strengths, which he had never done before due to his pampered lifestyle. he adapted an emotionless exterior, using others to get what he needed or wanted enough so he was able to survive on his own. he had his fair share of run ins with animal control and other cats, eventually deciding to move away from the city to find somewhere more relaxed.
