Floralstar [S-T]

Floraldusk is a pale yellow tabby tom with long, messy fur, green apple eyes, and a noticably crooked jaw. His right ear is flopped. His stripes stand out as a striking gold color, and is accented well with the white covering the bottom half of his face, belly, and tail. One noticable trait is the large freckles adorning his cheeks and small portions of his legs. Due to a lack of maintenance, his fur is often covered in dying leaves. His scar goes from the corner of his left eye, down to his nose, past his mouth, and down to the chin.

Gator Skull - Found in the swamps from before Floralstar created Duskclan. He wears it on his face to intimidate enemies and hide his jaw

Stuffed Animal - It looks like Monarchstar. He found it in amongst the owl pellets. Who knows what else is hiding in those woods.

Berry Paints - The red paints adorn his gator skull. He says the symbols have meaning, but they really don't. He just thought they were cool.

Floralkit was born alongside Wheatkit, a kit named for his similar coloring to the plant in question. His mother, while doting, died ing their third week of life. Afterwards, Floralkit was plagued by dreams of his mother's ghosts. He denied that the dreams were a figment of a young kit's imagination, instead deeming them completely true to Starclan. He ranted on and on about Starclan speaking to him, catching the attention of a sickly Frogleap. The priest knew he would die without a successor if he prolonged waiting for a kit to come along, so he rushed into making Floralkit his pupil. Floralkit was astonished and grateful, taking this as a sign from Starclan that they truly wanted him. This pushed Floralkit- now Floralpaw- into focusing solely on work and training, rejecting his brother and the other kits around him in favor of Starclan.

When Frogleap finally croaked, Floraldusk was beyond elation. While others were disgusted by his lack of sadness, he had to explain on multiple occassions that life was simply a journey to the paradise of Starclan, though some just called him a crazed fanatic and left it at that. Wheatpaw, only a moon away from his own warrior name, tried to talk sense into Floraldusk, though it didn't work as Floraldusk soon saw Frogleap in Starclan's ranks, in which his mentor praised him.

Boulderpath was chosen as his trusted guard, and the two have a fairly professional relationship. While attempting to remove some wasp nests, Floraldusk gets too overzealous and climbs a tree to try swiping the nest off the branch. Taken by surprise at how many wasps there were and how they hurt, he lost his grip and fell onto one of the awaiting rocks at the bottom. A panicked Boulderpath quickly rushed him to Luckyleaf, though the skilled medicine cat was unable to right his now unaligned jaw. It took a big toll on his mental wellbeing, though Monarchstar stayed by his side throughout the process to keep him optimistic and going. Through the process, the two grew closer and Floraldusk began to gain feelings for Monarchstar.

On a hot spring evening, Floraldusk was sitting in the shallow ocean watching the sunset while the rest of the clan slumbered on the beach. He was soon joined by Monarchstar, and the two spoke about how he was doing, then how they thought the rising tensions between Mossclan and Hawthorneclan would end. The end of the conversation was when Floraldusk confessed his feelings and Monarchstar revealed that she felt the same. Even though the two knew it was forbidden, Monarchstar and Floraldusk entered into a mateship.

Soon after, Monarchstar fell pregnant. She gave birth to three kits, all with some form of disorder, such as a missing front leg, albinism, and a cleft lip. The sight of Shrimpkit, the one who looked just like him, minus some red hint, caused Floraldusk to spiral into doubt of Starclan. He thought they had punished his kits because of his broken vow to never have a family. In his doubt, he was visited by a Dark Forest cat named Fleascorn. The tom offered Floraldusk a power in exchange for changing his faith, and Floraldusk took the deal. He now had the power of manipulation, and he had a plan as well. He convinced a large hybrid cat named Maple to his cause, and the molly stuck by his side as a subtle threat ever since. As his cause grew under Tideclan's nose, he chose to leave and start his own clan, Duskclan, and he would be Floralstar. Even though he couldn't be near his family, he still loved them and didn't want the backlash that this inevitably would cause to harm them. Instead, Tideclan turned against Duskclan when one of the Duskclan warriors overheard Floralstar's lament over his family and stole Coralkit from the camp. He discussed with his daughter about how he was her father, and she accepted to stay in Duskclan and act as the heir to leadership. Only a moon after, Monarchstar launched an attack on Duskclan. The two leaders argued about their situation, in which Coral stepped up and told her mother off. Shrimppaw, who had snuck along with the battle patrol, stuck up for Monarchstar. The Tideclan leader called off the battle, and the Tideclan cats brought back any Duskclan members that had doubts about their membership.
