Relationship to Taurus: Friend, Teammate
Though he'd never admit it, he looks up to Taurus, admiring her easygoing attitude and respect from (and for) her fellow constellations.
Relationship to Aries: Friend, Teammate
Relationship to Capricorn: Younger Brother
Aries always seems to be at odds with his brother, largely due to the inferiority complex he holds between them. Aries is always trying to prove himself to anyone, and Capricorn is no exception. Though he would never admit it, Aries deep, deep down Aries does respect his brother, and often wishes he could be as cool and collected as him.
Relationship to Aries: Older Brother
More often than not Capricorn willingly functions as the instigator, always ready to jab at his brother for something, his height being a common topic. Capricorn need only look at him funny to send Aries into a flying rage. Like most siblings, they disagree on many things, though Cap never lets it get under his skin, making their conflict very one-sided. He does it for the amusement, knowing full well any sincerity on his part would be met with derision from Aries.
Relationship to Nora: Daughter
Relationship to Cassie: Mother
The most pragmatic of the Kay family, and easily the source of Cassie's fighting spirit. Nora usually has great difficulty understanding the supernatural shenanigans surrounding Cassie's role as the Starglass, but listens intently. She is able to strip back the problem to its basic parts to give Cassie reliable, practical life advice. While Nora works long hours and is absent often, she always seems to know when to arrive on the scene with her trademark dry wit. Formerly a boxer at university, Nora is often compared to Cassie's favourite Starfighter Showdown character, Stella Starstrike.
Relationship to Andrew: Daughter
Being the youngest in her family, Cassie has a lot of people in her life to look up too, and her father is no exception. Despite this, Cassie always felt that Andrew was always "on the level" with her, and never acted as a superior force in her life. With Andrew being a child at heart and Cassie being a literal child, it was pretty easy for them to get along, even without Cassie's eye as the initial topic of interest. She gets her outgoing spirit primarily from him, and he taught her to embrace her quirky side. Cassie knows she can count on her Dad to be there for her no matter what.
Relationship to Cassie: Father
Since Cassie was born, Andrew has always been fascinated by her, particularly for the star in her left eye. But rather than having that fascination cause a rift, they bond over it frequently, sharing an interest in supernatural and space sciences alike.
When he learns of Cassie's responsibilities as the Starglass, the wild dreamer in him couldn't help being more than a little giddy at the idea. It's not every day you find out your daughter can dual wield light swords after all! This knowledge also brought out his emotional side, allowing him to comfort Cassie when she struggles to control her powers. He loves and encourages her like any good Dad should, and is largely the reason Cassie is so outgoing.
