Serpens

With Ophiuchus as the Serpent Bearer, Serpens is the titular snake, his spirit often residing in his master's magical staff along with Cetus. Far friendlier than his brother but more timid as well, he embodies a shy but seemingly endless curiosity that Ophiuchus fostered as his companion.

Serpens can be quite naive and overly trusting towards those who may harm him, though in addition to Cetus's protectiveness over him, he is not without defence mechanisms of his own. This trusting instinct does come from a strong belief in the goodness of all, even if it is sometimes to his detriment, and extends to his sense of loyalty as well. Considering that a snake is often saddled with negative connotations, Serpens is a firm believer in redemption, growth, change, and challenging perceptions.
