Oh, thank you, too!! I actually used to draw animals way more, but now I feel like I struggle to draw them more than I do people... I hope to master both one day. I enjoy human and animal characters :D

I know our Spyro RP never kicked off but I'd still love to write with you if you'd ever be down!!! Whether it's Spyro, or with your other fantasy themed characters!

Oh gosh, totally! I'd love to write with you!! Do you have a Discord? I'm more active over there atm cuz I'm on the move a lot! ;o;

Yeah for sure!! I just hit up MiniDrink too if you guys wanted to do a small group chat and all :D My discord is DeathDino / deathdino !

I’ve sent you a friend request!

I’m open to it if MiniDrink is, if they approve feel free to make a group chat and add me to it. ^0^

Please ramble to me about your fav Spyro game! And tell me more about Tobias! He has an interesting design x3

Buckle in!

OOH THAT'S SUCH A HARD CHOICE...
I have a soft spot for the first game, I grew up with the original trilogy and the first game just swept me off my feet. I fell in love with the environments, the music, the gameplay... and I think Reignited did the original game the best out of them all. The world were so vibrant and memorable compared to any of the other games! But Year of the Dragon is a reaaally close second because of things like the proper hover and general gameplay improvements. Not to mention Midnight Mountain's chasing Moneybags segment. As a child? I felt so powerful during that. xD
Overall, though, I think the original trilogy was just a really solid set of games.
As for The Legend of Spyro, it's easily the first game for me. It was short, but told a story that sucked me in and left me wanting more, had a very unique art style that looked great on the PS2 and expanded on dragons in a way that I as a young storyteller could really appreciate. While I consider myself a classics games fan first, the classic games were like saturday morning cartoons compared to what was introduced here. I have a soft spot for Dawn of the Dragon if only because the beginning of the game (The Catacombs, Twilight Falls and Valley of Avalar) being such a strong start, my best friend and I would roleplay as dragons and it let us fly around 'freely' (albeit quite limited, it blew my mind at the time) However, I've never felt that we got the true ending so that sours it for me a little. I didn't enjoy The Eternal Night at all. The music in all the games, however... breath-taking.
What about you?

As for Tobias...
I'm not surprised you have that to say about his design, hehe. Without his mutated scales he would look VERY different, hopefully I'll put it out there one day lol he doesn't have much of a story at the current moment... In the classic universe, I consider him having mixed heritage (either beastmaker/dreamweaver or beastmaker/magiccrafter) and that many attribute his odd appearance to that. Given that mixed dragons aren't common, a lot of dragons are either too weirded out by his appearance or disgusted with his mixed heritage, so he is often lonely - with his only friend being that of Gregory, a feisty Imperial Woodpecker. The two of them reside in Misty Bog or Treetops, usually, and when the dragons were all turned by Gnasty Gnorc, Tobias (similarly to Spyro) escaped that fate but was too cowardly to free the other dragons.
Once Spyro arrived to Beastmakers, Tobias was quick to ask for help. Spyro insisted that Tobias and Gregory help, too, and while at first Tobias doubts his own capabilities, Spyro helps to show him that he's more capable than he ever gave himself credit for. As a result of this, Tobias looks up to and respects Spyro immensely.

In TLoS, Tobias survives the destruction of the eggs but is thought of as a bad omen by the Guardians, almost like another Cynder, and is left for dead as a helpless hatchling. But before he succumbed to the harsh elements of their fractured world, a kind pair of dragons find him as they are evacuating and take him in—not thinking much about his appearance other than it is odd. From there, he grows up with the other survivors and is gifted with fire and poison as elements—the latter of which drawing suspicion from others. He isn’t really trusted by his peers or other adults. He’s thought of as a spy for The Dark Master, little more than a pawn like Cynder is, and he knows the others feel negatively about him. This leads him to feeling out of place with other dragons… so, he ventures outside the safety of the dragon settlements where he eventually befriends Gregory. That’s about all I’ve got—both backstories are pretty incomplete though. I’m hoping I’ll get an opportunity to flesh him out through RP or a back-and-forth talk soon.

Back when I originally created him, his mutated scales were actually just a mask carved out of wood. How things change… haha.

I came across your character, Frost, and I really like her design! I was wondering if you had a specific dragon species she originated from in Spyro 1 (Artisans, Peacekeepers, Magiccrafters, Beastmakers, Dreamweavers…) I also got a good chuckle when I saw she didn’t like bagpipes—I could only assume you mentioned that due to Fracture Hills. xD

The original trilogy + Reignited will always be my favs! Year of the Dragon has been my top fav since I was a kid x3
I spent so much time on it! I ended up getting the gem glitch as a kid so I couldn't get that last gem in Spooky Swamp. When I replayed it I was so happy to get to the super bonus world! I adore the other games too! Even if 2 has some annoying quests XD
TLoS was fun to play through! I started with Dawn of the Dragon so I might be biased toward that one. The unlimited flying was fun! And ye the first three levels are amazing! I'd spend some time just flying around the Valley of Avalar. I need to replay those three eventually

I love what you got so far! I'm not the best at conversations or putting my thoughts into words, but I'd be happy to do a back and forth with you if you wanna! I'm more refreshed with the OG trilogy atm though. Haven't played TLoS in awhile. And yeee! It's awesome seeing how characters change and grow!

I need to flesh out what she's like in the Spyro universe. I haven't thought about it a lot! I can't see her being Beastmakers, but I could possibly see her as any of the others. I gotta go read about them again. And yup! I hated the bagpipes as a kid XD Kid me hated that level because of that, the Spyro eating bushes, and the whole guiding the guy to Hunter thing. I still hate the guiding mission but it's a lot easier now thankfully

hello I'm from the mutuals thread! your characters look really cool and i'm happy to find another creator who has a similar creative vibe!

Hey there! Thank you so much for the compliments, aaa! my characters are my life haha. I hope you don't mind me favouriting a couple of yours.

I had a look at your carrd, as well, and though we don't have many overlaps (Warriors, My Hero Academia, My Chemical Romance... I am loosely familiar with Demon Slayer, Harry Potter and OMORI) I absolutely love your art, character designs and character profiles! I'm a bit embarrassed you saw mine before I finished revamping them all. But! I'm glad you found them interesting :D

Feel free to PM me anytime if you'd like to see if we vibe. I notice you RP as well and I have been interested in doing some of that (specifically with Umi, but other things could be arranged.) Otherwise, I'll observe your cool as hell character designs and art from afar!

Thank you so much for checking my characters out! And don't worry your profiles/galleries already look super amazing as is :D especially Umi

I mostly do my RPs on Discord servers (in groups/communities). If you ever find any good ones lmk!
