Silverthorne is a horror-science fiction world taking place on an Earth who's surface is slowly being consumed by an aggressive, alien forest, spreading from origin points across the globe known as Hearts, and dividing the human race politically, spiritually, and, ever slowly, biologically.

Silverthorne itself is a named section of woodland spreading north from Central into North America.
