Berserkr

Berserkr

"He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
For this is a tale of an ancient kind."

In the past, when so many places were yet unknown to men, and the world was still young, Gods dwelled among humans. And humans fought to praise them. Swords clang. Blood was shed. There were wars, and there were feasts.

In the North, under the watchful eye of Allfather, fearsome warriors raise their weapons to protect their homes and conquer new lands. Seers and shamans call upon the Gods and spirits to grant the chosen ones inhuman powers.

In the West, beyond the seas, the lands are divided. In the misty north the faith in Old Gods is still strong. People pray to their Gods, burning pyres and offering blood sacrifices in their names. And warriors are protecting their borders from the south, where a younger religion is taking over.

In the far South, under the heating sun and among endless sea of sand, rich merchant are crossing dunes with their caravans. Wise scholars are studying the stars. And swift curved blades of warriors shed blood of those who oppose them.
