the fates of the immortals are odd ones indeed. no mortal mind could comprehend the powers of the immortals, nor could their bodies handle the long and stressful lives. even the longest lived species grow old and die eventually. but not these. for these of spirit valley are a congregation of immortals who have come together under the bond of immortality. for just as a mortal cannot comprehend immortality, no immortal can truly understand what it means to live...knowing that someday you will die. while they can still bear young and further their species, the "lions" of spirit valley are careful not to overuse its resources, to use their powers both to conceal this place from mortal eyes, and to ensure it will last them...well, forever.
