Whisperclan (WIP)

This is currently a WIP. I am just slapping down ideas at this point for fun. Also, yeah, I expect a lot of grammar and spelling errors. I'll iron them out as I add to the lore.

Whisperclan-Was previously called Meadowclan. Many moons ago, this clan called a beautiful meadow its home. The meadow was covered in flowers, and surrounded by tall mountains. However, after a long drought, the dry meadow lands were ravished by fire. Many of the older cats lost their lives. Some cats returned to the ruined land, while others fled beyond the border. Meadowclan believed that when they died, their bodies became one with the meadow. The destruction of their precious meadow meant the destruction of their history and the stories that were past from cat to cat. The cats who remained, named the clan "Wisperclan." This name was to signify the loss of their beloved stories.

The land became more dangerous. It is unknown why, but the grass turned duller and attracted more vicious animals. The weakened clan was forced to live in a cavern at the base of the surrounding mountain, as the open meadow was no longer safe.

Many moons later, the clan grew once more. The clan took up a more welcoming stance towards outsiders who required shelter from the dangerous lands. Some even joined. New stories were created and customs evolved. However, after the death of the beloved leader, a new ruthless leader took up the mantle. After so much time, stories of the previous clan became wrapped. He wants to "return" to the days of ferocious cats who defended their clan from everything.

Naming Scheme- Whisperclan warriors take great pride in their names. The higher the rank, the more grand the name. There is no kit, paw, or star in my Fanclan

Kits- Are not given names at birth. Parents will often use nicknames to tell them apart (think Red for a red kitten), but these names are universally agreed to not be "names." This tradition came from the idea that a kit's personality shines when they reach a certain age.

Apprentices- Given a name by the clan leader once they reach 6 moons. This is only the Prefix of the name. (The Warrior Goldback was called 'Gold' when they were an apprentice)

Warriors- Suffix is added to their previous name by the leader. (Gold is now 'Goldback')

Deputy- Will keep their warrior name, but will be followed by the title, 'The Next.' (GoldBack would be called 'Goldback The Next') It isn't uncommon for this to be dropped, especially if the deputy is more relaxed, but when they are formally being addressed, this is a must.

Leader-Will also keeps their warrior name but will be given a unique title by Starclan that describes them. (Goldback will be 'Goldback The Gentle'). Again, it depends on the leader, but this is a must on formal occasions.

Territory-

In the past: A gentle paradise that was rich in prey.

Present- While prey is still available, it is not the same. The fire drew cats out, but once land started to grow back, other dangerous animals followed in. The Clan's territory moved to be closer to the base of the mountains and now resides in a natural cavern.

Clan Cats Characteristics

As the clan is welcoming to outsiders (at least before the new leader came into power), the pelts of the cats can vary. They are most likely to be dark earthy colors. However, cats with the most ancestry with Meadowclan have light grey fur with amber eyes.

Wisperclan cats are known for their enhanced sneaking skills

CLAN MEMBERS SO FAR

Leader:

Crowthroat The Ruthless- Slim light gray tom with Amber eyes and a scar on the right side of his neck.

Deputy:

Gentletooth The Next- Old rugged tom with a large snaggle tooth, dark grey fur, and amber eyes.

Warriors:

Corpseheart- Dark auburn-colored she-cat with long thick fur and blue eyes.

Fallingspirit- Tall grey and brown she-cat with medium fur.

Darkglare- Silver tom with dark brown eyes.

Smallstrike- Small ginger she-cat with medium fur and green eyes.

Quitecry- Sleek black tom with medium fur and green eyes.
