He's eternally grateful for everything Bomber Jacket's done for him yet he can't stop feeling guilty he was the reason the man divorced his wife. It took a while before he was used to the idea that BJ loved him and took just as long to reciprocate. He loves BJ dearly, diligently watching out for his husband's health, and indulging him in guilty pleasures (like tea).
Luna is like a mother to Duster but her feelings don't go beyond that. Knowing Duster better than anyone, she does find him rather exhaustive and feels helpless knowing she can't fix some of his habits. She only wishes the best for him and would do anything in her power to grant him happiness.
Jacket's parents were never around, so he regards CB and Cowlneck as his real parents. To him, Combat is a legit father and the best one he could ever ask for.
He holds a lot of CB's morals and teachings at high honors, and applies them to his daily life (though he may have misinterpreted some). He wants to be a hero to make him proud.
His precious boy.
He never imagined having a son to raise with Cowlneck, other than dogs, mostly because he knows his husband was never fond of children... Well, thought he was, anyway.
He's done his best to make Jacket a respectable Angel, and he hopes to God that he'll be alright on Earth. He knows he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and he prays for his immortal soul every night.
Wary at first, Duster warmed up to CB in no time at all. At first, he considered him a good friend; he's told CB many things he's never told anyone else, no even Cowlneck. Things didn't change at all when the relationship between CB, Duster and Cowlneck became more involved and intimate.
Combat is generally his life coach and his initial moral compass.
A precious man in need of guidance. He's certainly a, uh... Project. He holds no ill will toward Duster for what happened between Cowlneck and he, but it's certainly given him something else to work on.
