SkyClan hunt in the tall canopies, with their camp being an entanglment of fallen trees high above the ground. Overview
Skyclan were once a valiant, resilient and skilled clan of the jungle. They had unique beliefs and practices, such as that they were closer to their StarClan ancestors because their camp is so high up and they hunt close to the sky. Their ability to hunt, fight and patrol in the canopies above the other clans made them much more formidable opponets than the other clans. Skyclan's unwavering faith began to dwindle after the corruption by Ravensight and Sunscorch. After being torn apart from the inside, SkyClan vanishes off the map entirely. The camp left behind became a ghost-town, terrifying the other clan's into wondering what force could have driven the prideful and faithful SkyClan from their territory.

SkyClan had many physicial differences that stood them apart from the other clans when they were still standing, such as their tendancy to prioritise physical strength. They are the only clan that requires a dangerous and exhausting physical test be done for new cats to enter the clan and for apprentices to become warriors. SkyClan cats were often lithe in stature, thin enough to be able to run along the branches of the tall canopies, but were muscular enough to make quick and powerful leaps. Skyclan cats were often very coordinated and balanced, with pin-point accuracy, this made them formidable opponets, but was also necessary for hunting and surviving in the tall heights of the trees. Lacking any of the before-mentioned traits can end in a painful fall and death. SkyClan cats were very spiritual and faithful, moreso than other cats, believing themselves to be closer to their ancestors. They hunted large bugs, birds such as parrots, and snakes and reptiles that occasionaly found themselves high up in the trees. SkyClan had some of the most optimised territory, hunting in the trees during the dry seasons, and hunting on the jungle floors during wet seasons when the trees became a fall hazard. SkyClan was aware of this, and thus had a 0 tolerence policy for tresspassers. With their unique physical abilities and unwavering pride, SkyClan dominated the Rainforest and took on other clan's challenges with pleasure. Most wars were won with optimal leadership skills, it was only after they lacked the political stability and leadership that the clan fell in on itself.
Nighstar was a leader of SkyClan from over 20 years ago, Nightstar was quiet, aloof and odd. But under Nightstar's rule, it was thanks to him that SkyClan learned how and when to optimise the full potential of their territory, saving lives and feeding hungry mouths and going down in history through his teachings.
Ryestar was the second last leader of SkyClan before the clan fell, she was merciful and valiant. Fighting alongside her clan-mates no matter what Ryestar fought long and hard for her clan and her territory, upholding SkyClan's image and always seeking the best for her clan. Her faith in StarClan and her clan-mates guided her and allowed her to guide them.
Ravensight, previously endorsed as Ravenstar before her exile was the final leader of SkyClan before it collapsed. Put into power by a false omen, Ravensight ended up valuing her own goals over the wants and needs of her clan, using her clan-mates as tools and assets. Her many raids on RiverClan despite the vulnerability of her clan, ended up halving the population of SkyClan by almost half.

N / A . .......
Leader
(the leader of the clan receives nine lives from StarClan and guides the clan) There is no current leader of SkyClan in current day, the last leader was a she-cat named Ravensight. Appointed deputy after a false omen was placed by Sunscorch that convinced Ryestar to appoint her before passing from sickness. Ravensight declared war on RiverClan for the death of her parents, after a plague that devestated the clan. Her efforts proved futile without enough members and so she broke the warrior code by apprenticing kits far too early and letting them die in battle. She was exiled after this and now roams the moor alone.
Deputy
(the deputy is the second-in-command of the leader, managing everyday duties) The last deputy of SkyClan was a she-cat named Dapplethorn, she served under Ravensight's rule but never really rebuttled the horrible decisions that she made because of an oath of loyalty she made to Ravensight's mother many moons ago. She too was exiled after the death of the kits that were made apprentices and roamed the moor for many moons. She is know taken in by the clans as a spy and must bring back SkyClan to prove herself once again.
Medicine cat
(Medicine cats are the healers, spiritual leaders of the Clan and trusted advisors) The last medicine cat of SkyClan was Sunscorch, his corruption devastated SkyClan, destroying the clan and twisting into something unrecognisable. Sunscorch came to the clan's as a loner and soon his twisted mind tainted the rest of the cats in the clan.
Notes
- New clan-members and apprentices must complete a test called 'The Tree-run' that is the ultimate test of physical strength and coordination.
- Medicine cats and permanent queens do not have to complete 'The Tree-run'
- SkyClan cats are able to mimic teh calls of birds to lure them in, much like real cats.
- Their powerful jumps are also akin to the SkyClan cats from the books.
Historical Figures
Nightstar . Leader Nighstar was a leader of SkyClan from over 20 years ago, Nightstar was quiet, aloof and odd. But under Nightstar's rule, it was thanks to him that SkyClan learned how and when to optimise the full potential of their territory, saving lives and feeding hungry mouths and going down in history through his teachings.
Featherstar . Leader Featherstar was the one that created the tree-run for apprentices and newcomers to complete, it was thanks to her emphasis on physical strength and adaptation that SkyClan cats were able to live in the trees for as long as they did. Featherstar's legacy meant that the strong survived and the kits of new generation will only take after the best.
Brightberry . Medicine cat Brightberry discovered ways of planting essential herbs high up in the trees, this practice came after medicine cats were frequently being ambushed and kidnapped by RiverClan during wars. This discovery meant SkyClan medicine cats could safely gather and practice medicine without the vulnerability of being attacked by other clans.
Blackfang . Deputy Blackfang was a warrior of SkyClan, while never becoming leader it was thanks to him that SkyClan won several wars thanks to his ingenuity and battle prowess. Blackfang served as deputy during a very vulnerable time in SkyClan's history, appointed deputy while the leader was injured and only half the clan was capable of fighting. It was thanks to Blackfang that SkyClan was able to survive and keep their territory, when many clans were under power-hungry tyrants and sought to overthrow SkyClan believing them to have more territory than they did. Several successful battle parties were made and SkyClan stood victor against every clan that challenged them, heroicly dying in battle and cementing his legacy in the last battle for SkyClan's territory.
SkyClan territory
tree-top territory, canopy
Liveability . Medium
SkyClan hunt and patrol from the tree-tops primarily during dry seasons, their physicial abilities allow them to accomplish any task a cat could do from the ground in the branches. This includes running, jumping, hunting, stalking, patrolling and even fighting. The trees are several meters off the ground and death or severe injury is guranteed. Dangers like eagles or snakes are also an issue that require full attention and optimization of surroundings, a cat that is not trained for the terrain will die or be injured greatly. The tree-tops are almost never used during the wet seasons, as the moss and lichen create an unsafe slipery surface for the cats that not even the best SkyClan warriors can be prepared for.
Tree hollows . Training grounds A collision of trees far out into the territory from hollow trees and branches creating a small flat surface to practice battle moves. Branches and other plants have wrapped around the collision to create extra support. Snakes are a common threat in some of the piles of bark around the area, but otherwise it is safe if it takes the time to be cleared out by warriors before training.
Sky-Tree . Lookout area A tree has grown taller than any of the others for miles, this tree resides in SkyClan trritory and is call the Sky-tree. This tree is large and rather dangerous to climb since there are no hollow channels to crawl into, but being able to see above the other trees proves a rather useful view of the territorys, able to overlook the moor and some of Windclan territory out North and North-west.
Eagle nest . Animal den Eagles tend to settle into the rainforest during the wet seasons when migration occurs, though this is a rare occurence, This only proves the importance of rotating territory, as the eagles that live in the rainforest are not like the Bald eagle or your average hawk, these eagles are built for snatching animals from the trees. Suspecting eagle activity must be reported to the leader or deputy.
Character Owlfeather . Medicine cat Owlfeather was a wise and benevolent healer of SkyClan, he was slain by an eagle after being lured close to a nest by Sunscorch. The situation scarred the clan and this chess move was enough to step closer to the down-fall of SkyClan.

Floor territory, ground layer
The detritus part of SkyClan's territory
Liveability . Medium-high
Occupied during the wet-seasons, the ground floor of SkyClan's terriory is just as large and brimming with life. Being too hot to occupy during the dry season, the cats come to the forest floor when the wet-seasons role around and it is no longer safe to occupy the canopy. The adaption is much harder for apprentices than seasoned warriors, but with the plentiful amounts of prey, the clan isn't put on halt by the switch. There are far less risks of injury during the time spent on the forest floor, proving it's higher liveabilty, but the risks is just what gives SkyClan the edge in the canopy; thus most prefering the dry seasons.
Rocky hollow . Training grounds A training hollow deep in the territory, made from an indent in the eart and scattered with rocks around the edges. Snakes and bugs are common but are far easier to deal with. Fallen branches and rotting wood and leaves tend to scatter around the area especially during wet-season so frequent clearing is necersary.
Iguana den . Animal den Old iguana dens are plentiful around the area, creating long but shallow tunnels throughout the land. These dens are mostly old, abandoned and bare, but occasionally a very territorial iguana can be found. These can pose a serious risk and may take the efforts of an entire patrol to take one down. But it does mean more fresh-kill.
SkyClan resting place . Burial place The burial place of SkyClan, at the foot of the tree that houses their camp, cats are buried in rows around the trunk. Laid to rest with care and love, it is a frequently visited place by all cats and is known to be full of rosemary, as it hides the scent of death, preventing scavengers from stealing the bodies of fallen warriors.
Character Spottedfern . Warrior / refugee Spottedfern was a warrior of SkyClan, she was the one who rescued Sunscorch and his family when he was only a kit alongside Saketail. She was one of the only cats left behind for dead after Sunscorch rounded up the rest of SkyClan after a successful coup. Spottedfern was known to roam the rainforest floor during her time as a SkyClan warrior due to her love of walks and solitude.

SkyClan Camp
The heart of SkyClan territory
Liveability . High
In the heart of SkyClan territory, accessable from both halves of the territory is SkyClan camp. A massive collision and overgrowth of trees, branches, foliage and whatever else has created the sturdy, open camp the SkyClan cats call home. The camp can be accessed by a fern tunnel while everywhere else has been heavily walled with branches and plants. The sun can shine through the large gap at the roof of the rainforest where leaves do not grow.
Tree-stump . Meeting place A jagged lump in the centre of camp where the leader stands to address the clan, all clan meetings and ceremonies happen here. The deputy and medicine cat(s) sit at the foot of the leader when the meeting is called.
Medicine den . Medicine storage & usage The place where medicine cat's operate and store medicine, they also sleep here. Many small dens, shelves of medicine and fresh water can be found here.
Fern tunnel . Entrance/exit The fern tunnel is a tunnel that allows for entry and exit to the camp, a malgimation of branches, vines and other debris allow for the tunnel to be accessed from both the canopy, and by climbing up from the forest floor.
Character Tulippaw . Medicine cat Tulippaw was one of the last true medicine cats of the clan, dying rather young her death was crutial in the fall of SkyClan. However, her legacy to others was her genuine kindess and helpful nature, her love of medicine and StarClan would have made her a bright medicine cat of SkyClan.

Common sicknesses/injuries
Arthritis/Osteoarthritis Common
Arthritis is common in SkyClan elders, usually caused by overuse and wearing down the joints over time (Osteoarthrtis) or genetically passed down particularly in younger warriors with compromised immune systems, (Arthritis). This can create significant problems with everyday warrior duies due to the physical demands of patrolling and hunting in trees, this can often cause early retirement in younger cats that are unfortunate enough to acquire or inherent the disease.
- Joint pain can weaken leaps, create severe pain and cause a warrior to become slower and weaker. significantly increasing the chance of death.
- Other symptoms include: Pain, swelling, redness, decreased range of motion, stiffness. .
- Treatment options below:
Broken bones/Disclocated joints uncommon Accidents happen, especially during the Tree-run and with newly appointed apprentices. Overexertion and excitement can cause lots of falls, those lucky enough to survive can snag a leg or hit another branch in the process, dislocating a joint or even breaking a bone. While uncommon, SkyClan deals with such issues more frequently than any other clan, meaning that their ability to treat and rehabilitate cats is much higher, increasing the survival rate.
