Oh gosh..! Farley? Well, first off, she's beautiful. I don't often get flustered by others based on their appearance, but something about her really is just breathtaking. She's always so patient with me, even when I ramble on too much. I wish she would talk about herself more. I know she's a guardian, but I often wonder if that job ever gets lonely.
I didn't deserve a second chance. I still don't. I owe my life to her. The least that I can do is work to right the wrongs that I helped to orchestrate.
A cog trapped in a vicious machine... For her... so easily replaced, so easily misguided. Victor's usefulness bloomed into much more and in spite of his previous transgressions against us, he has become a valued member of Silverspire Society. As it turns out, not everyone is as they seem.
My Cy? He's MY husband if you didn't know already. Every time those amber eyes reach me, I can feel shivers through my whole body. It's dangerous what that dashing fisherman does to me. Our story is something out of a fairy tale, not to brag or anything. A dashing young soldier scooping up the devilishly handsome bystander from the oceans that nearly claimed him, it was a spur-of-the-moment decision but he offered him a chance to run away with him and escape the war together.
I still can't believe he said yes... Sometimes I wonder if this decision hindered his happiness in any way. That maybe I should've just let this fisherman be and maybe he'd be happier in that small village than traveling the harsh seas by my side. After all, the only reason he got hurt was that I kept taking a detour on our patrol routes.... My own guilt for his injury is something I've never expressed to him nor will I ever, all I can do is try my best to make sure he's as happy as he makes me.
Akron has a very unhealthy obsession with Oliver, he adores him and follows him around like his shadow. He has a very particular way of getting under Oliver's skin either it being purposefully or accidental.
Paisley... how do I even begin to voice my feelings about her? It's all so confusing and tangled up in my chest. I knew from the moment I met her that she was different, knew that I couldn't win her by chasing her. I would have to just be present, be patient. It's true, we DIDN'T get along at first. I was young and intense with something to prove and she always had a stronger will than I did. But things started to click, and everything changed. I wish I had not lost so much time with her, but I'm grateful to have her by my side now.
Victor... I still can barely believe I'm saying his name again. Impulsive and stubborn as they get, I still get frustrated thinking about everything that happened all those years ago, but I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't do the same if it were Larkspur or Ammy. 10 years is a long time, and all that time I served that very piece of shit that caused you so much pain. I always wondered why, even after all this time, you still had such a tight grip on my heart. Why the feeling of you holding my filthy hands like they were the petals of cable's most fragile flower still tingles on my fingertips whenever I found myself sitting in silence. I loved to jab at that composed front of yours, causing you problems became a routine and a staple of my days. To fall for you was never my goal, I even denied it myself for so long.
I can't imagine all that you've been through, the fact that you're standing by me now is nothing short of a miracle.
Zin can be impulsive and crude. She is strong willed, acts before thinking, and resorts to violence much quicker than I prefer. However, she's loyal, she is good at what she does, she instills great morale in the crew, and she is my friend. She is always able to give me a dose of reality when I need it and sometimes it feels as though she knows me better than I know myself. I don't know what I would do without her.
Zinnia has the utmost respect for Victor, He's her captain and one of her closest friends.
I can't help it. I'm drawn to the chaos. Everything in my life is so clean and pristine and so carefully manicured and Zin... well, she's not. And I feel free with her. I feel safe. I can just be me, no pretenses, no expectations, no conditions. I have an obligation to my people, and I will rule someday. I hope it doesn't go against her own wishes, to rule beside me. I hope it does not squash her spirit and her vigor, and that she can forever remain the wildfire that ignited the flame in my own heart.
Zinnia turns into a giant softie around Solace, she loves pampering her and tries her hardest to be romantic in the goofiest ways.
Before she died and became an angel she was absolutely head over heels with him, she ran away from home to be with him and support his cause and even had two flickers with him which resulted in her dying so young. Although the truth about him only came out on her journey to the afterlife and now Lorelai holds a very unhealthy hatred towards him.
Russel... I owe him everything. I think about him from time to time, and I really do miss him. I really hope that, amongst the scuffle, he was able to get out safely. While Oliver and I grew apart as we grew up, I feel that Russel filled that missing space in my heart whenever I felt lonely. He was very different from me; I wasn't brave enough to follow him everywhere, but I loved how he always returned to tell me stories about where he went. He never made me feel alone, and in turn, slowly fueled that curiosity deep inside me. I wouldn't be alive today if it wasn't for him.
"Alkaline is big and he looks like me... but he's not exactly like me. He lets me steal his food sometimes and tolerates my presence so... I think that makes us friends?"
I'll admit, I do not know Annie very well, but she's well regarded amongst the others and so I feel compelled to see her just the same.
He's a good doctor, if a bit odd. His savior complex is going to get him into trouble someday... I can just feel it...
Annie's my best friend. I trust her, I feel safe around her. She hears me when I speak, and sometimes, it seems like she's the only one here who does.
Ben's an odd fellow. I suppose it has something to do with all he's seen growing up. It's not easy, being taken from everything that you know and tossed to the wolves, older brother to protect you or not. I know he's kind, beneath that rowdy facade he's got going on. I love him like family, and I know he knows that too.
Annie's a real sweet woman. Ben seems to like her, likes being around her. She's like a big sister to him, except he actually listens to her even though he don't listen to me.
Luke's a breath of fresh air in a camp full of thieves and murderers. I mean that lovingly. I'm no different and I'd have it no other way. But there's something... refreshing about having his perspective sometimes.
