Just yesterday, Deviantart posted a puff piece to promote the idea of selling art on deviantart, promoting their “top seller,” who, wouldn’t you know it, posts exclusively AI art.

Deviantart is not a site for artists anymore and hasn’t been for a long while. This official promotion of AI artists is the latest slap in the face.

I’m considering pulling amourim off deviantart again in response to this, and shifting focus to moving the ML at any cost.

Also, if you’ve been feeling lost without a home for your art since 2020 brought the release of Eclipse, consider sheezy.art 

It’s a site I’m genuinely in love with after just a few short days of using it. The community is lovely as is the site itself. I’m on there as CHELRY. It’s in beta- it’s not perfect, but it’s still in a far, far better state than deviantart has ever been since eclipse. 

This applies to designs credited to both CHELRY and chel - this is also in both accounts' ownership permissions, but is also here in the form of a bulletin to link on my profile just in case. Amourim fall under a different (but pretty similar) TOS here.

Transfers and Purchases

• My designs can be resold, traded, and gifted freely, regardless of how they were originally obtained. 
• My freebie designs should at least have art added first, though. Don’t be a freebie flipper, it’s not nice.
• When buying adopts directly from me, I will accept payment through PayPal or Ko-Fi, with PayPal preferred.
• I will only accept USD payments from users 18 or older, due to both services' TOS requiring users to be 18+.
• My adopts' prices do not go high enough to justify payment plans, so I don't take them. I will do short holds, though.

• When you take ownership of a design of mine, it is out of my hands, and you can feel free to do whatever with it, redesign to your heart's  content, give them whatever personalities, stories, etc.
• If a species requires proof of permission from the original designer to redesign or void a character, the answer is yes, you can. There is no need to approach me, just screenshot or link these terms as your proof.
• Please do not edit or draw over my art, though. I am open to making edits for free or a small fee (depending on extent), if you ask!
• Commercial use of the character itself is fine, however, commercial use of my artwork specifically must be negotiated first.
  • (i.e. You can draw up your own merch designs of the character and sell those, but you can’t sell merch featuring my artwork unless specifically permitted)
• You are free to set my designs to private or authorized only, or delete my designs / move them offsite. You don't need to authorize or notify me. 
  • If a design is moved offsite, and then later brought back onsite, I may ask for proof that you are the actual owner of the design to accept creator credits.
• I will never revoke designs from anyone. I may, however, report and block users who are using my designs for illegal or hateful content if I see it.
• I do not have a public blacklist. Someone owning my design does not mean I personally endorse or support them/their actions.
  • This also applies to species that I have designed for in the past. My designs being in a species does not mean I currently engage with or support the group.
• If one of my designs was used to scam you, please feel free to reach out to me with proof and I will try to help. You should also, report the user(s) involved to Toyhouse Admin if you can.
