Devoured Sun Era New Star Era Divine BeingsSynopsis
In some cruel fate of the universe, Asterria was plunged into a cataclysmic state. But one day, large monstrous beings called Celestials crashed onto the Earth like a comet, and it gave humanity one last hope. The body of the Celestial gave humans food, warmth, shelter, materials needed to keep living and survive.
The world itself became harder to live in at its current state and was inhabited with monsters feeding on life itself. However, every night, new Celestials would fall from the sky and gave humanity all the materials in order to survive. And so, humanity continued to hunt for those fallen stars and continued to live on.
Note: All extended lore for the world will be compiled in this literature (titled 'Asterria Lore) and in any non-character character profiles in this folder.
Devoured Sun Era
Before the Devoured Sun, everyone lived at a world of peace. A regular fantasy like world where humans, elves, beastpeople and more lived together in the same world.
However, an eldritch, otherworldly, and cosmic horror from unknown flew across space and the sky and... simply ate the sun. After the incident with The Sun Eater, the world fell at a state of total darkness for hundreds of years with only the distant stars to accompany them during the endless night. This era marks humanity's greatest struggle during the age of pure darkness, but also the start of a new world that humanity learned to adapt to.
New Star Era
After the era of pure darkness and endless night, a new sun was born and light finally shown down on the Earth for the first time in hundreds of years. Humanity is finally able to live in a world where they used to years before.
However, with the years that left the world in darkness, the world itself is struggling to make itself sustainable to life again as monsters roam and rule the lands outside of the Celestial Barrier and humanity still needs materials to survive. Humanity continues to live like in the Devoured Sun Era, but they now live at a more peaceful time with the sun brought back to the healing Earth.
