Since the dawn of time a group of ancient gods have participated in a ritual to decide who rules over the universe every thousand years. All choose a human to grant their powers and fight to the death in order to choose a winner. It just so happens that one of this time's chosen is an overworked college student who would do anything to try and get out of it.
