It started with Spirited turning themselves half shadow but more people from others races have been coming in

When they're made half they're given a new name (Which is in Dovah) the name typically is only a few words like "Dimmed Light" or "Iced silhouette". They never use the word shadow directly, in names, only when referring to the race.
They don't choose the names- no one in the group gives the names. its something else; no one outside the group is sure what names them.

Sexual activities to them aren't really something to be embarrassed about. They see it has something that should be private, but that is natural. For example if they were to walk in on a sexual act, they would simply apologize and leave, unless it was an important matter.

They also don't really... I guess believe in sexuality. They simply see it as, you love this person, that's it. Point blank, simple. They seem believe that you shouldn't limit yourself to gender. Like yes you may love this guy but you may find that you love this woman more. Of course they're respectful to others beliefs and would simply explain how they think if asked.
