A flooded earth, with a ravaging storm circling around the globe. There are very few refuges left for humans to survive, those only being the Havens. Massive, highly densely populated superstructures capable of surviving the Calamity and all other natural disasters for centuries to come. The recently emerged animal spirits of the natural world have no earth left to maintain as they once did for thousands of years. Their new purpose now is clear, to wipe out the remaining humans as a final effort to try to fix what has been destroyed.
