Hive Mind

Hive Mind is an extradimensional alien, called Leexkel (LEEKS-kell) in its language. It comes from the planet Auxckels II (AUX-kelse two), named for the binary stars it orbits Auxckels A and Auxckels B. The star system is composed of the two stars as well as three planets. While this is its home planet, it has a neighboring Artificial Star System that it considers its home. The Hive is an interconnected array of planet-like structures made of an unknown bio material created by Hive Mind. Massive, stony flesh-like tunnels attach the structures to eachother in a complex maze of corridors.

The exact nature of Hive Mind is unknown however it has shown to be sapient and highly intelligent in a variety of scenarios. It has a large variety in types of infection it can do. Over time it has developed several distinct Branches of several different Categories. Adapting Branches control existing entities and morph them into suitable forms for Hive Mind's purposes. Creating Branches create new entities, typically by converting energy or matter. There are also Hybrid Branches, which is when two or more Branches of the same or different Category combine into a new Branch with combined attributes. There may be more Categories, but those are what's known at this time. When a Branch arrives at a location it forms a Colony. Depending on what Hive Mind wants, the Colony could quickyl spread or lay dorment for years.
