•Atharia•

/æθɑːriːæ/ | [Ath-ah-ree-ah]

Atharia is a large country that is known for it's production of food, particularly confectionary and fruits. It was founded by Mars and Ghirardelli Atharia, who's bloodline still rules almost 100 generations later. Unlike Esthios, Atharia doesn't have Guardians, and instead they receive the protection and blessing of Deities. Whilst Guardians and Deities are effectively the same, Deities are not specific to Atharia and maintain the rest of Astrelin too.

  • Mardelli is the capital of Atharia, as well as the home to the castle. There is a large shopping district, and plenty of farmland. It was named after Atharia's founders.
  • Lacronia is the second largest region of Atharia, however it is mostly forests and swamps so is generally unlived in. There are people who have farms on the border, due to the naturally fertile soil and rivers. The main production of rice is from such farms.
  • Shioba is similar to Mardelli, and is the second most populated area. East of Shioba however is mountainous and fairly dangerous, so is often avoided by the general population. Shioba is also the home to the worlds first mixed school, where both humans and non-humans can learn together.
  • Athar is home to ruins, and is the previous capital before Mardelli. There isn't much to be found here other than ruins and dungeons, so it is a hotspot for adventurers.
  • Tesrua is the smallest region, and is a seaside town with an abundance of flower filled fields. The region is funded by tourists, and is the biggest suppliers of honey, minerals and herbs & spices.
  • Baoen is an island that is home to fishermen. It's unlikely to find anyone who lives there that doesn't fish for a living. It is the main source of fish for the three main countries, and is said to have been blessed by a Deity to have an endless supply of fish. Despite this, they still make sure to breed fish so that it is sustainable.
  • Acren is a mysterious tropical island that has its own weather and climate system. There are fruits found here that cannot currently be grown elsewhere due to the climate. Despite this, the fruits are neither expensive nor particularly rare. At lowtide, it is possible to walk from Mardelli to Acren, however it is entirely possible to get stranded on the island once hightide comes around. The climate change happens midway between Mardelli and Acren, it is quite an odd thing to experience.
