ethoav: the oldest civilization. represented by a dragon and governed by house velles.
eleni: the red queen/queen of hearts. rules ethoav with an iron fist. having suffered a lonely childhood, she intends to keep her throne no matter what. famous for her bad temper.
percival: the red king/king of hearts. eleni's king-consort, though their marriage is anything but passionate. his charm and political skills keep her throne away from her rivals.
rosaire: the knight general of ethoav. valuing chivalry and a knight's code of honor above all else, his kind heart has recently been weighed down by the civil war.
senne: a fierce fire dragoness who entered the fold after being hired as a mercenary to serve the king and queen. she has since renounced knighthood and now lives a life of solitude.

intilios: the sun kingdom. represented by the sun and governed by house albion.
cassius: the hero-king. he is remembered in history books for finally bringing the wars between intilios and luxebris to an end.
alouette: the only princess of intilios and the most spoiled of the royal family. outgoing and carefree, causing others to look down on her.
alysanne: a keros who once served the goddess of war, siria, during her conquest of the world. she is slowly growing used to modern, courtly life thanks to alouette.

luxebris/karne: the frozen wasteland. once represented by the moon and governed by house charel.
nanami: a gung-ho, stubborn fighter who is one of four heroes seeking to restore the land to its former glory, but she hides her true intentions.
